The massive scarred black form of the fatale glided almost serenly along the paremeter of the uninhabited pack lands, her ebon appendage a little out as she ran swiftly, each time her overlarge pad hit the earth it left a mark, though hardly any sound emmited forth from her efficient strides. The female dubbed Avernus had decided to take the liberty of a twilight run, to race the birds and just for the hell of it.
A light scent caught her unawares and she skidded rather uncerimoniously to a halt, her scarred mottled pelt ruffling in the breeze as her banner held erect as well as her muzzle, trying to ascertain from which direction the scent was coming from. Giving a light shrug, she followed the scent rather quickly, her four foot frame quivering slightly from the thrill of running.
Soon the scent became stronger and she eased into a brisk trot, soon working into a full out run. She skidded to a halt near the neutral borders as she turned her one-eyed glare full upon...nothing. Her ears laid back and she growled lightly, unhappy to have been following nothing.

[glow=orange,2,300]Timberized, silky autics perked at the sound of enduranced mitts, playing a rythmic pattern upon the soiled earth. Long, twisted tassel curled to the tip, hung free like a flag, representing her high rank. Yes, she was an alpha. And proud to be one, at that. With her not-so-small body, formed musucles that surround it, and stern, raivshing face, she could set anyone off guard, with her disguised innocent face. Neck arched in a peculiar manner, and long legs skidding casually upon the dirt-dusted ground, the fae cursed Abena took her pose.
Snout raised to the air, she suddenly scented another smell, of a different kind, but of the same species, and rank. Another alphen was it? A haunted smirk crossed her maw, and she slunk into the bushes, the shadows engulfing her every move. Sharp, golden optics peirced straight through the wolf near by, as the femmora peeked through the leaves, her claws flexing restlessly. Deciding to give the wolven a quick jolt, she raised her body from the ground and quickly, but every so silent stepped outside the bushes and appeared behind Avernus, her face unreadable.
How long will this so called alpha realize she was there? Who knows, for her invisiblity has been taken to the test...[/glow]

Avernus growled. There had been a sudden change in the air. No, she couldn't feel changes in the pressure of air, nor could she see another 'aura'. But she did feel something. And it was unsettlingly close. At least...by Avernus' standards, it was close.
She shifted her gaze to the side without moving. Something was there. She heard it....felt it. The scent was ungodly strong as well. With a small smirk, the huge wolfen demon stretched her five foot plus frame and turned lazily to walk away.
And yet, she did not walk away. Nay, she stopped right as she came to face this she-wolf. With an evil grin, Avernus let her snarl ridden voice slip from her jowls. "Well well well....Who...or 'what' might we have here? Another alpha? Yes, it seems so. A mortal, no less.." Avernus growled, then she chuckled. "Well, then. Greetings Mortal Alpha. I am Avernus NightBlade. What drove you to try and....'spook' me?"

[glow=orange,2,300]Abena chuckled, as the femme almost walked away, seeing that she hadn't noticed her right behind her. Then, in a unexpected movement, the alphen turned around, and was face to face, staring hard in the optics. Tassel lashed, and claws sheathed, knowing that there would be no fight here. What purpose for anyway? Lifting her head higher, she listened as she spoke. Mortal? Ha, she was nothing of the sort. Fangs bared, but not of a threat, Abena began to speak, her voice settled and filled with grace.
"Oh, I did not intend to spook you, as you so call it. It seems that you preferably wanted to be. Oh, and yes. I am dubbed Abena, Alphess of Haunted Shadows...and you are?[/glow]

Avernus sneered in Abena's direction. "I was not spooked, Lady Abena. I was merely intruiged that another would be here. Not many wolfen inhabit this area. I was wandering, to see what I could find and I felt your presence. But alas, I fear you did not catch my name when I spoke it. As I said, I am Avernus NightBlade, Alpha Female of Souls of the Inferno. Heir to the Underworld. May Hell's grace be with you as you rule your pack, Miss Abena." Avernus replied, speaking the old tongue that had been harshly forgotten by mortals. The grace she had spoke of was a sincere compliment to those of equal status.

The shadowed ghost seemed to lurk within the forest's borders, sort of spying on the two alphenas. He always hated encoutering them, knowing that he would have to listen to their lectures about him being in his ghost form. The alphen hovered closer, his feet not daring to touch the solid earth beneath him.His powers where storing,he indeed knew that, but why waste most of them by using them 24.7? He was only in his ghost form incase one of them dared to attack, they would gr right through him.
Aye! Who would be spooked by THAT? Do you think that a wolven would be fearful of you lurking near them? Aye,thats pathetic!

Abena raised her eyebrow, and stared at her with amusement. Was that suppose to be a compliment? Autics, now flickering forward in Avernus direction, she frowned and scuffled the dirt with her paws, loving the feeling of it in her mitts.
"Maybe I did hear you, but just didn't understand you." Abena sneered, a spark glinting in her eye. "And may I wish, Hell's cunning sense fall upon you." she added, trying so hard not to laugh.
Then she heard a unexpected voice behind her, and turned around to see Ghost, in his transformed ghost powers. Hmmm...now she would have to deal with another Alpha, but except, she had met this one before.
"Oh hello, Milord. I'm sorry, but have I ever "seen" (quote on quote) you before?" she responded sarcasticly, her optics narrowing.

The alphen smirked slyly at Abena, circling around her, hovering a few feet above the earth.
Right...Arent you just a naturel born comedian,Miss Abena? Spare a few lives for me,yes? How about a few pack members,Surely you could offer to give me the weak ones to finish off and have as a snack!
Ghost replied, licking his muzzle hungrily at his words.Wolven flesh...His favorite meal.
After all,I have yet to eat a decent piece of wolven flesh this week...

Abena snorted at his comment, her gaze never leaving his, so commanding and up tight, that it looked as if her optics were frozen with hard golden ice. Her fur bristled and she spat at the ground below, where he was hovering and snickered.
"Weaklings are we? Well if were so weak, how come we have powers that can over-power yours? After all, we are the Ultimate pack of Shadow's Path, for I am the first alpha who found it and rules it. And I always will. My ancestors are great, and I take after them. Do not judge us, for we are not weak, unlike your oh-so-scary darkness."
She snorted again, and grinned, wondering how he would take that!

Ghost chuckled his ussual deep, hearty laughter.
I'll take that as a compliment! Anyways, how many members do you have,eh? Do they know how to use their powers? Aye,My uncle was the Black Inferno, the most powerful wolven that thrives in darkness.I take after him.Plus,I have two femoras thriving in my darkness engulfed terrain...
Ghost replied,a sly smirk perching upon his blackened muzzle...

Abena rolled her eyes, at his bragging behavior and said sincerly.
"I have one member so far, a brute, named Krag. You have two. Large difference, eh? And wisdom and bravory can over-throw darkness any day, mind you. Evil will never conqer. They may win some battles, but not the wars."
She smirked, and circiled him, ready for a one-to-one combat.

Sure, you have the wisdom and bravory, but we have the darkness, the evil, the strength...It would be a difference if I killed him in his sleep, now, wouldnt it? Well, must be going now.Ta ta for now///
The alphen replied before disapearing into the wind, not one trace being left behind...

Abena snorted. "Strength? Who needs strength when you have the mind. The mind is more greater then any strength I know. Admitt it you filthy mutt." she called after him, smirking a protest. Idiotic fool.
